After living in Washington for 2 years (can you believe it's already been 2 years!), Ken and I want to be able to stay in touch with you more frequently and this 'space' could possibly be the best idea ever.  While it would be awesome to visit each of you when we go down to CA, it sure is hard to cram everyone in during a weeks vacation ~ but know that you are always in our hearts and we think of you often :o) ...we really do.  And hey, our house is always open when you want to get away for a long weekend ~ we would love to see you!

 

Quick summary of what's happened in two years for us:  I started a home business, Fabulous Finds www.fabulousfindsforyou.com, Ken became a police officer (his dream come true), we bought our first home, I quit my job at WaMu last year and opened up a mall kiosk for my business...did that for several months and then got picked up to work on a contract basis with Microsoft as a Recruiter/Event Planner.  Minnie has 'summer vactioned' in WA for 2 years now and the rest of the year she is back in CA with grandma/grandpa Porras.  Speaking of which ~ Ken and I are expecting our first child in January 2007!  We know where babies come from...however, we were not planning on having kids for awhile, but God had a better plan for us and has blessed us with a baby...girl/boy??? We'll find out soon.  We have found an awesome church, Eastlake Community Church www.eastlakecc.com that has become our second family...you will always be our first family :o)
